Jacob, I know you want to have a go at that nutty open theist on the Line. Come on!

I just sent the editors a letter explaining my shock that they'd let heresy slip through their comments moderator...

I honestly am not surprised. If they let non-Christians post comments, then why not let this fellow have his say? What they ought to have done, however, is followed it up with a comment from one of the editors challenging it. Looking through the comments, though, it looks like most people are not addressing what he said. Thanks for letting me know. When I left my comment last night, I think your comment was the last one up, so I didn't see that comment.

Well, I think there's a difference between unbelievers (often identified as such) posting comments pertinent to the topic at hand and an obvious heretic (who self-identifies as a Christian) picking out one detail of an article for the purpose of trumpeting his scary doctrine -- and linking to heretical websites, while urging readers to dabble in heresy. Especially given the youth and theological ignorance represented on the boards!

I see your point, but I'm still not surprised they allowed it. I have found that I read Boundless Line in spurts. I'll read regularly for a while, then back away, usually out of frustration over some of the things people say in their comments. I get worked up and have to step away for a month or two! Maybe I'm just becoming more cynical, but I'm not sure they've riled me up much since the last time I took a hiatus.

Haha... I do the same thing. I'll read for a few months and then Ted or somebody will say something asinine and I'll quit reading out of sheer frustration. Generally I love Boundless, have much cooler feelings toward the Line, and try to avoid reading the comments as a rule.

It's nice to know that I'm not the only one!
